The final piece of one of my main 2019 art series Vibrant is a portrait that takes inspiration from the Red Death in the Phantom of the Opera. I used hues of red to fill the work’s components from the fancy feathered fedora, coat, and piercing eyes through stippling. I also added skull-like face paint features, a pearl necklace, and a dark gray garment to enhance the man’s deathly aura.
Other points of inspiration I took into creating this artwork are from the Dia De Los Muertos costume designs and the classical Red Mage class from Final Fantasy.
